Fertility Associates of Memphis (FAM) is proud to welcome Dr. Sierra Bishop as the inaugural fellow in its newly accredited Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI) Fellowship, a program launched in partnership with the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) and Ivy Fertility.

Dr. Bishop, an accomplished OB/GYN with deep Tennessee roots, earned her medical degree and completed her residency at UTHSC, where she served as Chief Resident. Her research interests include fertility preservation for young cancer patients, recurrent pregnancy loss, and reproductive infections—topics on which she has published and presented nationally. Now beginning her three-year fellowship, Dr. Bishop will continue her advanced training in fertility care at FAM, with a focus on helping patients achieve their dreams of parenthood.

The REI fellowship is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) and provides intensive clinical and research training. Fewer than 50 physicians graduate from REI fellowships nationwide each year, making these programs essential for developing the next generation of fertility specialists. With its launch, the fellowship in Memphis becomes the only program of its kind in Tennessee, Mississippi, and Arkansas—helping fill a critical gap in reproductive healthcare training across the Southeast.
