Rhodes College has named Kendra G. Hotz as the first holder of the newly created Robert R. Waller Chair in Population Health. She is associate professor of Religious Studies.
Hotz's selection is based on her work as the coordinator of the urban and community health concentration, and her dedication to building health equity and the improvement of the healthcare landscape in Memphis. She earned a PhD at Emory University in 2000 and a M.Div. at Candler School of Theology at Emory University in 1994. Hotz received a BA from the University of Evansville,
The Robert R. Waller Chair is named for Bob Waller, MD, who has served as a trustee at Rhodes College since 2003. He is past president and CEO of the Mayo Healthcare System and the past chair of the Institute for Healthcare Improvement.
